Have you ever felt like you are just working non stop and tired all the time? You know that saying, “All work and no play make jack a dull boy”. Well, that just may be the problem. When you are first striking out or have been working on your dreams for while at some point you will began to feel overwhelmed but what if you reward yourself for every accomplish you make. Can that be a solution to help you continue on your path?

Set a goal and reward yourself when you accomplish it

Today’s Motivational Mondays features Angela Jia Kim of Savorthesuccess.com. I stumbled upon this video in which Angela discuss how her mother would award her as child when she would achieve a certain level of success playing the piano. It started off with stars then move on to little gifts. She notice that this is something we don’t do as adults, especially woman entrepreneurs.

I thought this was a great idea and can’t wait to implement it in my life. I am going to start with something that I’ve been saying I was going to do forever…get my license. I’ve been spoiled by living near public transportation, most places I need to go an can get there by bus, train, or walking. When I go out of town, if it not for a conference I’m with someone with a car.

My takeaway: Don’t let the lack of motivation stop you. Turn it into a game, make it fun and reward yourself once you reach a milestone. It can be anything from a spa day to a new tech gadget. Just do something that make you happy.
