The Death of Tungle.me

If you are a Tungle.me user or Tech lover you may have seen this coming a long time ago. I really tried to hold out with the hopes that it would stick around but once I heard that it was purchased by Rim (Blackberry) I knew it was going all down hill from there. Why? Look at how the Blackberry ended up.

Tungle.me App Sunset December 2012

I loved the Tungle.me App and it worked so great for my business. It was supper easy to create meeting requests, have clients choose and book a time, and sync the information with my Google Calendar. I also got reminders if someone didn’t book so I could send a reminder and when they did. If you aren’t familiar, Tungle.me is a scheduling app. It allows its users to schedule calls, meetings, etc. so you won’t overbook and don’t have to worry about figuring out time zones. It was perfect, well almost they never got around to releasing an Android App.

So after switching from Blackberry to Android, I could only use the website to create and send meeting requests. To me that was just a minor problem. For a solopreneur like myself, this was an invaluable tool. I use my cell phone for both business and personal and it would help me keep track of meetings times and dates. Now that there will no longer be any new developments, I’m stuck. I haven’t found an alternative and I don’t know what I will do.

The sun will set on Tungle.me on December 3, 2012.

Are you a Tungle.me user? What methods, tools, or apps do you use to schedule call and/or meetings?
