Three years ago I joined tons of people in Central Park (New York City) to walk five miles for breast cancer research. The experience was amazing. To see young and old, all races, and a few four legged friends on a beautiful October morning coming together for one common goal put a smile on my face. I know the money raised is being put to good used because I saw so many survivors along the walk path. They were proudly wearing their survivor sashes. Unfortunately, we do lose some. That’s why it is up to us who are still living to continue to fight for a cure in their honor.
This year will be my fourth time walking. I am changing up locations. I will be walking in Prospect Park (Brooklyn) this year. I am so very happy that the American Cancer Society open the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer website early. I am currently setting up my team’s page to start collecting donations. In the mean time I wanted to share two items that you may choose from if you donation on my behalf.
*More information on ways to donate coming in the near future.
